Our Short Story

Automora began in 2004... playing a handful of shows, releasing a couple of demos, and beggining to build a local fan base. But in Early 05, because things were not working out with now ex-members, Automora went on a 10 month hiatus.

8 long months later, Allen Alcantara (vocals) and Andrew Eapen (Guitar) began experimenting with things on there own. They began to write constantly and sooner than later had more than 20 demo songs recorded. With a bunch of new tunes along with a fresh new ambition and "DIY" attitude. Allen and Andrew began a search to find the perfect match of musicians to bring along side the new Automora. It wasn't too long before they rounded up Billy Kim (ex/The Prisoners Dilemma) on bass, Jimmy Goatcher (Guitar), and Josh Castaneda (drums). Everyone fit perfectly and things began to take shape the way they should have when the band first started in 04.

With 10 months gone by and no shows. Automora had finally returned to the stage in February 06 to a sold out Chain Reaction in Anaheim, CA as main support for San Diego's Augustana. Taking the stage with much support behind them, the guys in Automora got one hell of a welcome back.

What’s next? An independent EP release, more show’s, and a Spring/Summer tour are all in the works.
